A Drug Rehab Success Story from Narconon Arrowhead
Wow! I’m done. When I came to Narconon Arrowhead Drug Rehab Center on May 2, 2006 I was a very, very broken spirit using heroin and trying to quit by using methadone. I still craved heroin at the same time, but couldn’t get high while using an opiate blocker. Then I started shooting “speedballs.” I knew I needed help. I was a very angry and violent person. I hated myself. I barely could look at myself in the mirror, knowing what my life had become. All the awful things I saw coming off this combination was not a fun game. It definitely was not something I will ever put myself through again. When I came here I was very enclosed. I did not communicate much and wanted to be alone all the time. Narconon Arrowhead has helped me realize so much. I, indeed, have to communicate in order to survive. When I learned this, I opened up to the staff and obtained good advice. I realized that this is something I have to initiate myself to find answers. I no longer get angry to the point where I have to be violent. I’m glad I spent time at Narconon Arrowhead Drug Rehab Center and did not rush because I got the most out of it. I never think of using heroin. My mind does not initiate thoughts like it used to. I’m in full control of my life. I think I’m better now than before I even used drugs. I’m a totally different person now. I feel clean, clear and have my strength back. I’m happy. I have love in my heart. I communicate with others and have made some of the best memories here at Narconon Arrowhead. I smile and laugh now. I enjoy life again. I definitely feel I got way more than what I paid for. I have my life back now and that feels FANTASTIC! S.N.

Substance Abuse Costs Lives Every Year in Nebraska
Substance abuse is the nation’s number one health-related problem and the effects can be seen in Nebraska. Drug and alcohol addiction is the root cause to many other societal problems and it costs our country up to $500 billion each year, in addition to the thousands of lives lost, broken homes and drug-related crime.
Most addiction treatment centers have a limited success rate, where the majority of the clients relapse. This is not the case with Narconon Arrowhead. In fact, approximately 70% of the graduates of our drug and alcohol rehab remain drug free.

Drug Rehab Information By State
When dealing with addiction treatment
it is important to understand exactly what is meant by ‘treatment’.
The Encarta dictionary defines treatment
as; ‘Way of handling somebody or something – the particular way somebody or something is dealt with or handled’.
When it comes to addiction
treatment there are many different modalities or methodologies surrounding various forms of treatment.
This can all be very confusing to loved ones under stress looking for effective solutions to addiction.
Narconon Arrowhead is a long term and non-traditional form of addressing the problem. We deal with not only handling the cravings that come with addiction but also address the life skills needed to confront and handle the guilt and depression that so often accompanies addiction. The goal is a drug free and productive life free from the many traps that addiction presents, and not just cessation of drug use

What kind of drug abuse treatment
center is Narconon Arrowhead?
Well, Narconon is a long term, drug free, non-traditional drug abuse treatment
What this means is that Narconon for one does not believe in the use of drugs in the treatment of drug or alcohol abuse.
Rather we address the factors leading up to and then continuing alcohol and drug abuse.
Substituting one drug for another just makes no sense! We are long term in that the program is designed for results not amount of time spent in rehab. Our average stay is generally 90 – 120 days depending on individual needs. Our students go at their own pace to insure the full abilities needed are gained. We are also non-traditional meaning the normal 12 step methodologies common to shorter programs and not used by rather an approach of gaining and using new abilities to produce a happy and drug free, productive life.
