Drug Rehab Program Success Story from Narconon Arrowhead
When I first came through the doors of Narconon Arrowhead drug and alcohol treatment center, I wasn稚 a bit sure what to expect. I had no idea what I was even doing here or needed to get from the program. I came here all alone and wondering. The past four months have had their ups and downs for me. But my ups have continually been higher and my lows never seemed to go as low each time. I知 to the point now where my highs are constantly very high and my lows don稚 exist. I知 sure I now know the answers to all my questions. I知 now leaving the drug rehab program through the same doors I entered. This time, however, I知 not at all wondering. I知 very sure and have a sense of purpose and I know I will remain drug-free, now. M.S.
Massachusetts Drug Rehab Information

Substance Abuse Costs Lives Every Year in Massachusetts
Substance abuse is the nation’s number one health-related problem and the effects can be seen in Massachusetts. Drug and alcohol addiction is the root cause to many other societal problems and it costs our country up to $500 billion each year, in addition to the thousands of lives lost, broken homes and drug-related crime.
Most addiction treatment centers have a limited success rate, where the majority of the clients relapse. This is not the case with Narconon Arrowhead. In fact, approximately 70% of the graduates of our drug and alcohol rehab remain drug free.

Drug Rehab Information By State
MDMA or "ecstasy" is a Schedule I synthetic, psychoactive drug possessing stimulant and hallucinogenic properties. MDMA possesses chemical variations of the stimulant amphetamine or methamphetamine and a hallucinogen, most often mescaline. MDMA can cause adverse effects including nausea, hallucinations, chills, sweating, increases in body temperature, tremors, involuntary teeth clenching, muscle cramping, and blurred vision. MDMA users also report after-effects of anxiety, paranoia, and depression. An MDMA overdose is characterized by high blood pressure, faintness, panic attacks, and, in more severe cases, loss of consciousness, seizures, and a drastic rise in body temperature. MDMA overdoses can be fatal, as they may result in heart failure or extreme heat stroke.
Drug Rehab Information By City
If recovery means to return to a normal or improved state following a setback or loss then there is much more to
drug recovery than just ceasing to use drugs or alcohol.
Recovery means to confront and resolve the factors that lead to the drug or alcohol problem to begin with as well as acquiring tools and skills to allow one to move forward in a drug free productive life with constant fear of relapse.
Narconon Arrowhead is a long term, non-traditional approach to the problems of drug recovery.
Our
drug recovery program addresses ALL factors necessary for full recovery from handlings of mental and physical cravings, to a resolution of the guilt and depression that goes hand in hand in leading up to and then continuing
addiction or alcoholism.
Drug
Addiction is a condition characterized by repeated, compulsive seeking and use of drugs, alcohol or other similar substances despite adverse social, mental and physical consequences.
It is usually accompanied by psychological and physical dependence on the abused substance and the appearance of withdrawal symptoms when the addictive substance is rapidly decreased or terminated.
When
addiction exists, the
drug use controls the individual rather than the individual controlling the usage. Drug
addiction is not a disease as many suppose and can be terminatedly handled.
Addiction is a chronic, relapsing condition, characterized by compulsive drug-seeking and
drug use which is accompanied by functional and molecular changes in the brain. In addition to being addicted to methamphetamine, chronic methamphetamine abusers exhibit symptoms that can include violent behavior, anxiety, confusion, and insomnia. They also can display a number of psychotic features, including paranoia, auditory hallucinations, mood disturbances, and delusions. The paranoia can result in homicidal as well as suicidal thoughts. With chronic use, tolerance for methamphetamine can develop. Users may take higher doses of the drug, take it more frequently, or change their method of drug intake. In some cases, abusers forego food and sleep while injecting as much as a gram of the drug every 2 to 3 hours over several days until the user runs out of the drug or is too disorganized to continue. Chronic
abuse can lead to psychotic behavior, characterized by intense paranoia, visual and auditory hallucinations, and out-of-control rages that can be coupled with extremely violent behavior.
